Our People
Although The Paper Rain Project is a relatively homegrown business, centring around our HQ in Marlborough, it has grown to become a platform for many artists, creators and makers worldwide. Our team is made up of co-founders, Indigo & Wills with our assisting team, Sarah, Marni and James.
We love collaboration and working with like-minded people. We currently work with 30 artists across the globe as well as incredible ethical suppliers in India, Nepal and right here in New Zealand.
We are stoked to introduce you to our small group of enthusiastic crew:
INDIGO ROWE - GENERAL MANAGER, MARKETING & DESIGNER
Co-founder of The Paper Rain Project, Indigo spends most of her hours on the design, marketing, visual merchandising and communications for the business. She is super passionate about the project, art, ethics and the people our business gets to work with. Indigo grew up between the North-West of Scotland and Picton before studying and travelling (which she continues to do whenever money or time allows!) She is a lover of hot drinks, adventures, hiking, popcorn, the outdoors, yoga and music.

WILLS ROWE - WORKSHOP MANAGER & PRODUCT DESIGNER
Co-founder of The Paper Rain Project, Wills spends most of his time in the workshop shaping our decks, laser etching longboards and hand-printing our fair trade, organic t-shirts. An ex-arborist and massage therapist, Wills is a big fan of learning new crafts and building the furniture for our store fit-outs. Wills grew up on the cherry orchard in Spring Creek, Marlborough on which our workshop is based. Wills' hobbies include potato eating, rock climbing, learning, moustache twiddling, politics and permaculture.
SARAH STARKEY - MARKETING & IMAGE MAKER
MARNI RICHARDS - CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER
